Jim Bell
Managing Director
Jim has worked in the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years in various roles. He has gained experience with Barclays Bank prior to working in a Senior Corporate Pensions role at Standard Life. Jim has provided advice throughout his career to both individual and corporate clients, both in the UK and overseas. Jim grew up and was educated in Canada. He obtained a Degree in Economics from The University of Western Ontario before passing the prestigious Canadian Securities Course. His UK qualifications include The Professional Investment Certificate (AFPC equivalent) from the Institute of Financial Services (IFS), CeMAP, Pensions Simplification qualification (CF9) and in 2014 he obtained the Certificate in Automatic Enrolment from The Pensions Management Institute.
Graham Kennedy
Compliance Officer
With 30 years Financial Services experience both as an Advisor and in Compliance with UK Banks and large IFA Networks. Graham is a flexible Compliance generalist and has a solid record of managing change. With an emphasis on IFA firms operating with both an Independent or Restricted offering he has a focus on the Quality of Advice Process. His strong technical and analytical background is enhanced by concise oral, written and presentation communication skills. Graham has a good understanding of the various IFA business models, large and small, which reflects a “hands on approach” to the workplace environment. Graham prefers to operate with IFA firms which are directly regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and has a sound appreciation of the commercial realities of the market place,
Ruth Whitehurst
Paraplanner
Ruth has worked in the Financial Services Industry for over 35 years in various roles. She has gained experience with NatWest Bank, Cheshire Building Society and other financial advisory firms. Ruth obtained the ACIB qualification whilst working for NatWest Bank. She holds CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, CEMAP and the Certificate in Automatic Enrolment from The Pensions Management Institute.
Mark Johnson
Paraplanner
Mark has a varied Financial Services background ranging from Mortgage Lender to General Insurance to supporting Financial Advisers in a career spanning over 12 years. Mark has a Certificate in Financial Administration and NVQ 2 in Customer Service. Outside of work Mark likes watching football particularly Liverpool, spending time with his family and dog Milo, reading and gaming.
Helen Johnson
Administration
Helen joined the team as an administrator in 2019 after previously running her own company for 26 years in the Wrexham area. Along with working full time for Dominion, Helen also sits as a Magistrate on the North East Wales Bench. Helen enjoys spending time with her family which includes daughter Anais, Granddaughter Sabrina and dog Milo. She is also an avid fan of the 6-time Champions of Europe, Liverpool FC. (Also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, which should come in handy working with this lot!!!)
Joyce Bethell
Finance
Joyce has over 30 years experience in Finance. She was previously the Financial Director for a Communications company for 28 years which she ran with her partner. Together they also built up and managed a property rental portfolio of 26 properties.
Harry Griffiths
Trainee Paraplanner
Harry joined Dominion for a summer job in 2021 straight from finishing his secondary education, but loved it so much that he joined us full time that same year. He is the nephew of Helen and Mark and is enjoying being trained by them as he begins his career in Financial Services. In his spare time, Harry enjoys gaming, especially FIFA games. But his main passion is for Liverpool Football Club, who, through his employment at Dominion, he has had the privilege of watching at Anfield with Mark and Helen and even the die hard Rangers fan Jim Bell !!
